Globus transfer performance tuning

There are two potential points that are or may be artificially limiting throughput in Globus. These could be tuned to increase transfer rates.

  1. Globus parallelism settings.
  1. RadosGW parallelism settings.
  • Max copy concurrency (reef) https://docs.ceph.com/en/reef/radosgw/config-ref/#confval-rgw_max_copy_obj_concurrent_io
  • Max HTTP requests (quincy) https://docs.ceph.com/en/quincy/radosgw/config-ref/#confval-rgw_max_concurrent_requests
  • Max Chunk Size may be related as well (quincy): https://docs.ceph.com/en/quincy/radosgw/config-ref/#confval-rgw_max_chunk_size
